Setting Default Salutations

Totals defines 3 kinds of salutations

  • Female
  • Male
  • Company

Salutations, which you want to use in a document, depends on the contact person you assigned to a document.

To setup default salutations

  1. Open Preferences. Click the Preferences button in the toolbar.
    A new window sheet will open.
  2. Click Defaults in the sheet toolbar.
  3. Enter salutation formats into the text fields Male, Female and Company in the Salutations section.
    • You can type plain text.
    • You can drag one of the blue placeholders "First name", "Last name", "Company", "Title" to the text fields and let Totals automatically replace the placeholders with contact's information.
  4. Click Done to close the Preferences window.
