Setting Default Layouts

Every document must have an assigned layout. If you create a new document, the default layout will be assigned initially.

To change the default layout

  1. Open Preferences. Click the Preferences button in the toolbar.
    A new window sheet will open.
  2. Click Documents in the sheet toolbar.
  3. Select a document type from the left source table.
  4. Choose a layout from the pop-up list next to the label Default layout:.
  5. Click Done to close the window.

Please note that the changes will only affect new documents. The layouts of existing documents will not be changes.
