Adding Tax Classes

Totals will ask you for tax classes when you step through the database wizard. The following steps will show you how to add taxes to an existing databases.

To add a new tax class

  1. Open Preferences. Click the Preferences button in the toolbar.
    A new window sheet will open.
  2. Click Taxes & Units in the sheet toolbar.
  3. Click the plus (+) button under the Taxes list.
  4. Enter a name into the focused table row and press Tab.
  5. Enter a tax rate in percents and press Enter.
